*The source for the statement that James T. White may have been born in England (and thus be the immigrant ancestor for this line) comes from the 1880 census of Union Co., Arkansas wherein Jessie (Jesse) C. White (1832-1907) lists his father's birthplace as England.

Credits: Much of this information was derived from old genealogy records provided by my mother Ketta London Casey.
Most of this was from a genealogy research booklet derived from work done by Pat Goad White (wife of J.P. White.) It is available for view online. Click HERE for that information, which has been reproduced in its original typed form by scanning the document and pasting the images onto webpages. I have also personally interviewed J.P. White, still alive and well at age 98, and he has corroborated much of this information personally.Other White information is derived from my 3rd cousin Kristy White Estes and her family Dickie & Oneta White.
In addition, I traveled with my mother & father to Georgia in Oct. 2003, visiting Muscogee, Chattahoochee, Stewart, Talbot, Bibb, Baldwin, & Putnam Counties, as well as the Georgia Archives in Morrow, GA accumulating more data personally which I am continuing to compile into my database...as always this is a work 'in progress'.
I also benefitted immensely from several records located on Rootsweb's WorldConnect webpages, as well as via several Rootsweb-L listservs, and various Ancestry.com message boards. Information about James T. White and the lead about Jesse C. White's 1880 census came from Lori, a mutual White surname researcher online. Thanks Lori!!!
